CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR)
In recent years, Corporate Social Responsibility has garnered increasing importance in terms of transparency and accountability and reporting commitments.
A company is no longer an isolated entity but part of a reality in which it must form a fully integrated part. This means having social awareness of all the actions we pursue.
At Quorum Language Solutions we believe that supporting humanitarian and socially responsible activities is part of our duty, because the business is a microcosm of society and has significant powers of influence.
We have an ongoing debt to society, our surroundings and the real world that we need to keep paying off every year, by supporting humanitarian causes.
Quorum Language Solutions supports humanitarian causes in the following areas:
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY 2022
On World Bee Day, we turn to translation for a good cause.
«Like honey, words can also be healing.»
Translation can achieve great things. Translation firm Quorum Language Solutions certainly believes so, having chosen 2022 to be the year that it gets behind the fight against multiple sclerosis (MS). It has chosen to support a non-profit that raises fundsfor research into this condition that afflicts 2.8 million people worldwide, 55,000 of them in Spain, attacking the brain and spinal cord.
Quorum has been working with Asociación Benéfica Javier Segrelles by providing non-profit translations of content and corporate presentations for PURAMIEL, S. L., the distributor of Miraflores honey, an organic honey from the mountains of Madrid’s Sierra de Guadarrama. Proceeds from the sale of the honey go to helping the fight against MS.
“It is an honour for us to do our bit to help the association. This really is a case of words having a truly special meaning”, commented Susana Pinilla, Production Manager at Quorum.
As the team were presented the special initiative, Paloma Benlloch, one of Quorum’s Project Managers, couldn’t help but interrupt by exclaiming, “It’s gorgeous!” when tasting the honey.
Let’s take the opportunity of World Bee Day to remind ourselves of some of the benefits that raw honey can offer:
- It is a source of vitamins and antioxidants.
- It has anti-bacterial, anti- inflammatory, hydrating and regenerating properties.
- It soothes sore throats and boosts immune response.
- It helps to boost athletic performance, thanks to slow digestion and slow release, offering a hit of energy. ya que, al digerirse lentamente y liberarse de forma regular, aporta mucha más energía.
